• CTU LA 지부의 Regional Division Director (전임 Regional Division Director 는 라이언 샤펠) 을 잠시 맡았었고, CTU LA 지부의 Special Agent in Charge 를 역임합니다.
• 참고: LA 지부의 Special Agent in Charge 는 “미셸 데슬러 –> 빌 뷰캐넌 –> 캐런 헤이즈 –> 빌 뷰캐넌 –> 나디아 야시르” 의 순으로 이어지고, Senson 6 에서 뷰캐넌은 은퇴하게 됩니다. (당시 부통령 Noah Daniels 의 사면을 받아 혐의를 벗고 명퇴를 할 수 있게 됩니다.)
• CTU LA 지부에서 가장 오래 재직을 한 Special Agent in Charge 의 기록을 갖게 됩니다.
• season 7 에서의 최종 Role/Title 은 “Secret Service - Interim Agent for President Alison Taylor, Washington D.C.” 입니다.

뷰캐넌의 죽음 때에 드라마에서 장면 전환될 때 silent clock 처리로 조의를 표시하게 되었습니다.

24 중에서 가장 멋진 캐릭터 중 하나였는데 더 이상 볼 수 없게 되다니 아쉽네요.

24: Cold Warriors is the fifth 24 comic published. It was released by IDW Publishing on March 5, 2008. The events of the comic take place in Alaska.

Jack Bauer and Chloe O'Brian are far away from their comfort zone of Los Angeles. Instead, they find themselves at a remote communications station in Alaska during a huge snow storm where they try to stop a Russian terrorist from Jack’s past who wants to bring down all wireless communications in the U.S.

Bill Buchanan is also present for the events, appearing as a temporary director for CTU Los Angeles.

 

The chronology of the comic appears to be soon after Day 3, before the Season 4 Prequel due to the lack of appearance of Chase Edmunds, Tony Almeida and Michelle Dessler.

The story also implies that Bill Buchanan had a Brother or son that served with Jack Bauer during his time on Delta Force.
